Delays and Cancellations

The Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium (RCJTC) works closely with its contracted school transportation operators to identify any route-specific delays or cancellations throughout each school day. This webpage provides information on specific routes which are impacted by short-term cancellations and multi-day cancellations. For more information on how cancellation decisions are made, visit our Inclement Weather webpage.

Delays and Cancellations

Short-term route cancellations may occur due to a variety of actors including driver illness, driver shortages, mechanical failures and inclement weather (i.e. "snow days"). For the most up-to-date information, access the RCJTC Parent Portal or download the BusPlanner Delays mobile application through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

Transportation Subsidies

Our partner school boards may adopt transportation subsidies from time to time to support families who may be impacted by long-term route cancellations due to driver shortages. Questions should be directed to your child's school board as the subsidy protocols may be different for each school board.
