Change My Information

The Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium (RCJTC) assigns student transportation to eligible pupils from the Renfrew County District School Board and the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board based on information provided by partner schools.

Student Information Updates

All student address information is maintained at each school.  As such, parents/guardians must contact their school directly with requests for new registrations, school change, address change, sitter change, email address updates, etc. Each school day, address information is securely sent to the RCJTC in order to assign busing to eligible pupils. Once RCJTC has processed the request, an email notification is sent to the child’s parents / guardians, school, and bus operator. The parents / guardians can also log on to the student/parent portal to view bus details (including bus route IDs, bus stop locations and estimated pick-up / drop-off times). The parents/guardians are responsible for getting the student to school until this process has been completed which, on average, takes a total of 3 to 5 days.

Please note that RCJTC staff cannot update student address information without notification from the child’s school and therefore, they cannot alter transportation assignments until notifications of address changes are received from the child’s parents / guardians through their school.

Types of Changes

The process to make an address update is outlined herein based on the information update type and it is further described in the Student Transportation Request Protocol

Parents / guardians can submit a new registration request with one of our partner school boards through the individual school that you are interested in attending. To confirm the school boundaries, the School Eligibility tool is available to identify the schools that your children would be eligible to attend in your area. To access detailed information on the student registration process, please visit the website for your selected school board:

Updates to student address information is processed at the individual school level but the process to request changes varies depending on your school board. These can include requests to update a student's home address, joint custody address or sitter's address.

Parents / guardians should complete the Request for Change to Student Information online form to notify the school of the changed information. The school will process your request in accordance with their service delivery timelines and advise the RCJTC of the approved changes once complete.

Parents / guardians should contact their child's school (during the school year from September to June) or the RCCDSB Board Office at (613) 735-1031 ext. 316 (during the summer months from July to August) to update their address information.

All requests related to transportation eligibility and assignments (Route IDs, bus stop locations, etc.) should be directed to the RCJTC Team. Please note that transportation may only be confirmed and assigned once student address information is received from the child's school.

Response Timelines

The Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium (RCJTC) serves over 10,000 students and receives a large volume of requests, especially during the peak period of August and September each year. While we strive to action to all change requests within three to five business days during non-peak periods, it may take up to four weeks to receive a response from the RCJTC team during peak periods.

As a result, RCJTC recommends that parents / guardians submit any relevant address changes to your school board by the beginning of July in each year (or as soon as possible once families become aware of known changes that may impact transportation services).

School Contact Information

You can access contact information for each school through the Renfrew County District School Board and the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board websites.
